STC Pilates May Challenge: Invest in yourself, invest in your community.

STC Pilates May Challenge: Invest in yourself, invest in your community.

Hey, Peeps!

We’ve sure been missing working out and connecting with you & sadly, the CDC hasn’t deemed Pilates essential (although we sure think it is!)

After hearing the heartbreaking news that we would have to keep our studio closed for another extended period of time, we wanted to put something fun together to keep our community motivated during this time apart.

Welcome to the STC Pilates May Challenge, designed to invest in yourself (in body & spirit) and invest back into your community. This month long, points driven challenge will motivate you to move your body and stay active: beginning May 1st and ending on May 29th at 4pm.

The Prize: 3 Privates with Becky (to get you back in the swing of things when we start up again!)

How it Works: Download the PDF Tally Sheet by clicking here or on the button below. This will be your way of keeping track of challenges completed and points earned. You can earn points for mini series like abs, exercise for when you’re at the counter washing yours hands (hello Pilates Squats & Planks!), healthy habits like drinking water, and also food collected to donate to the Elgin Food Bank at the end of the month.

Important note: you’ll receive extra points for posting your challenges on Facebook & Instagram. Make sure you tag #STCPMayChallenge with your post so we can see & #repost your victories!

Optional Props & Add On’s: Mat, ankle weights, mini hand weights, towels, magic circle, ball

On May 29th, join us (6ft apart of course!) at the studio between 4 and 6pm to drop off food collected and your finally tally sheets. We will announce the winner on the 31st! Remember, while there is a prize for most points earned, we’re all winners when we choose to invest in our well-being.

The Real Difference Between Contemporary and Classical Pilates

The Real Difference Between Contemporary and Classical Pilates

We say STC is, “rooted in classical method with a contemporary approach.” This mentality hugely defines what Pilates looks like at our studio. However, it doesn't mean much if you don't know what the heck the difference is between Contemporary and Classical Pilates is, so we dedicated a blog post to breaking it down.
